Anyone else not getting a baby shower?

So, I’ll be 30 weeks on Sunday and I’m pretty sure I won’t be getting a shower at all. My side of the family isn’t very close, they’re all extremely judgmental and the kind of people who only show up during the ‘big moments’ just to be apart of the drama, not because they actually care. My fiancé’s mom has been talking about one since my first trimester but to our knowledge, she’s not even begun putting one together. I’m not a ‘center of attention’ type person and I really have no friends in this state, so I’m not comfortable throwing one for myself. Between preparing for baby, trying to get back on the road (totaled my car and having major difficulties getting a new one), and looking for an apartment to move into before my due date, I’m so overwhelmed as it is.

I can live without a shower but it’s kind of disappointing and making me feel very alone in this. Like my daughter isn’t going to have a family support system. And I don’t wanna sound greedy, but we are so financially strapped with everything going on, any gifts would go such a long way.
