I have seen posts on here about going to get blood work done right away when you get a bfp. I've always read you don't go in until 8weeks along unless there is an issue you need to confer with your doctor about. So which is it? Right away to confirm or wait for the 8 weeks gestation appointment?

I never needed blood work because all the pregnancy tests i took confirmed i was pregnant.  I saw my doctor at about 8 weeks. There’s no need to see anyone before then unless you’ve had miscarriages before or have obvious disabilities to discuss.

Go now, Doctors like to discuss important information with you and like to write everything down and test you themselves, set up future appointments such as ultrasound and your 8 week appointment , get an idea of how far along you are and do blood work.
