100% childfree. And I just want to clarify that if we’re referencing the “actual” childfree lifestyle then being “undecided” is not being childfree, it’s being “undecided”. Those who are a part of the childfree lifestyle are 100% certain on their choice and will not change their mind regardless of “depends on the person”, “depends on financials”, “not right now but in the future”, “I thought I didn’t but now I do”, etc.

Anyway, reasons why:

1. Kids are moneysuckers and I want a Corvette Stingray.

2. Terrible genetics.

3. I lose my temper easy with children.

4. I have been in several “altercations” with children when I was working childcare that drove me to quit.

5. I am apathetic and in general lack the needed emotions to care for a child.

6. I prefer animals over children.

7. Many parents annoy me and I don’t want to deal with that any more than I have to.

8. I was a brat as a very young child and I definitely would’ve offed myself if I had to deal with me 24/7.

9. I’ll be honest and say that if a kid comes up to me crying about a bad dream or whatever I’m probably just going back to bed after telling them “you’re fine”.

10. I am a picky eater and I imagine they’ll grow up with similar habits.

11. I can barely do my own laundry.

12. I was abused as a kid and I can easily see myself becoming that person in return.

13. I dislike extra effort on people.

14. Physically, there is 0 chance in hell that I am going through pregnancy or childbirth and emotionally there is 0 chance that I am going through other routes unless there is a child in dire need of my help, in which case I would step in.

15. I would like to own various types of non-child friendly dog breeds in the future and trust me when I say the dog comes first in all cases.

16. I am 100% multiple career oriented. I refuse to allow a child to take up any of my extra time.

17. I love fast cars that don’t have the best safety rating and I am absolutely not trading in my car for a minivan or safe low power SUV.

18. I’ve seen plenty of kids turn on their parents and desert them when it’s time to find a good nursing home so I’d rather not plan for children based on expectations of “who will take care of you when you’re old” etc.

I won’t say anymore, just that I always LOL when people try to push having kids on me. It’s literally wishing a child a horrible life.
