Pediatricians and Formula

I have a three month old son and he has been in the first and 3rd percentile‘s at all of his baby check ups. He’s been on breastmilk since he was born and our pediatrician thinks he is under weight based on his percentile. In addition he prescribed us silent acid reflex medication as he thinks my son has that. Due to the weight gaining issue our pediatrician has been pushing us to try all of these different kinds of formula and at his last appointment told me to completely stop feeding him breastmilk and do 100% formula from here on out to see if he gains weight. What do you all think? Should I get a second opinion? I️ am 5 ft and my husband Is on the smaller side too so I’m wondering how genetics plays into this. Also I am back at work full-time so he is getting pumped breastmilk in a bottle so we know how much she’s getting each day.
