Y'all intimidating af

Long story here, but it wasn't until now that I've learned about and accepted who I am and that I'm definitely not straight (pan, actually -- tyvm). I'm 24 and terribly shy and intimidated by women. Now, I want to try being with a woman, but I can't even bring myself to carry on a normal conversation. I might get a couple words in with a girl I find attractive at the bar and then lose my nerve. I also get super worried that they aren't even interested in other women, and I'm not quite ready to confront a woman who is potentially homophobic. For my poor nervous self, how do you go about hitting up other ladies?
