how did you announce to your kids?

every time i search for how to announce to kids, the results just gives ideas on how to use kids in the actual announcement. that's not what i want. what ways did you break the news to your kids? i know some people have their kids read a letter that they are going to get a little brother or sister. i can't for the life of me think of something cute or fun 😕

I did a scavenger hunt around the house with clues and “baby themed” items with each clue... like a baby Ruth candy bar, miniature toys, etc. the last clue lead them to shirts that said “big sister again” and “big sister finally.” They loved it. They are 8 and 5.

We told our 5 year old.  He then let it slip to his big brothers telling them mom had a baby in her belly .  Lol

My son is too young to understand he's 14 months. I took a photo of him in the shirt for my own memories lol. I'll be surprised if he remembers me being pregnant with his bro/sis when he's an adult.

i had this set up on his bed when he came home from school. something simple and to the point so he wpuld understand.

Scavenger hunt that ended with a treasure box with a hat he was asking for, a onesie that read "My favorite superhero is my big brother," a "Super Bro" T-shirt for him, and a "coming soon" card at the bottom with the ultrasound picture. He was so surprised and happy

so we ended up just doing a letter which our 6 year old read and gave them a "present" of onesies lol. it didn't hit them until later and now they keep asking when their baby sister is getting here. i have to keep reminding them it may be a brother lol (we have 2 sons).
