Do U take being called fat as an insult or just a fact/statement.

Question

Ik some people don’t get offended when called fat because the know that they r and they know that there is nothing wrong with being fat/ bigger. Some people just use it as an insult and others don’t mean anything by it, they just r stating a fact. 
Personally it depends on the situation I guess, and on my mood/perspective that day. Normally I don’t get offended though. What about u guys?

I’ve always been “chunky yet funky” ya feel me? I used to get so hurt by the word and then it was like a light switched on. Now I’m just like yea I’m fat and I’ll throw this fat ass in a circle, you want some? 😂😂

At first I️ would literally cry because people would call me fat.......

So I️ decided that they were right (I️ take it as constructive criticism) and I️ started to lose weight. I️ was 282 pounds now I️ am down to 271 constantly dropping these pounds

I have fat, but I am not fat alone, so I don't like being called fat as a descriptive word. I don't mind being called chubby, though. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have always been athletic and fit so I’ve never personally been in a situation like that. That being said, I think it’s extremely rude to negatively comment on someone’s appearances, whether you’re just “stating fact” or being an asshole. They more than likely have their own insecurities that they’re worried about, and it’s extremely rude and unnecessary to make a statement like that. I guarantee you that everyone looks in the mirror, everyone knows what they look like, and everyone is in the middle of some sort of internal struggle with their body. Calling someone fat or making any insult like that is super inconsiderate too. They make look fat to you but they may have just finished losing 50 lbs and feel amazing- or should I say felt amazing until they were berated with mean comments. Stick with the second golden rule: “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”

There are pretty limited circumstances where it’s appropriate to comment on someone else’s weight.
