I’m having surgery in December to correct my pectus excavatum. It’s something I’ve struggled with a lot growing up, once I realized my chest wasn’t supposed to look like that and it didn’t help that everyone started at it whenever I wore a swimsuit or a shirt that wasn’t baggy. I’m a bit nervous for it, knowing that it’ll be hard to adjust after surgery. I won’t be able to be on my side because the bar could come out the other end or shift, which sucks because I hate sleeping on my back. I might post before and after pictures, but I don’t know yet (I would have a swimsuit on though lol). Any tips I should know with this surgery or surgery in general?

Edit: we’re pending approval on the surgery with the insurance to see if they’ll cover it or not, but they should
