I rent a house. The landlord runs a daycare in the garage. I had suspicions for a long time that it wasn't legal but minded my own business. Today somebody showed up to my front door from the health department. I was like huh? Then she told me shes here because she got a complaint about an illegal daycare. and asked if she could come into my home. I let her in and told her I have nothing to do with the daycare it's in the garage and ran by the landlord and in my lease the garage is not our property to rent. Am I going to be in any trouble? should I not have let her in? was it wrong of me to participate in the landlord having legal issues. like should I have covered her up? I feel sort of bad like a bad friend in a way altho tbh I know nothing about the daycare and if it's safe. everybody tells me I didnt have to let her in and causing me to be slightly paranoid lol.
