MRI on brain?

I'm getting an MRI on my brain today w and w/o contrast. Does anyone know how long it usually can take?

It all depends they usually take anywhere from 20-40 minutes but time goes by really fast when you’re in there. They should give you ear plugs because it’s super loud. When I had mine I was so close to falling asleep when they finally told me it was done.

Mine took about 45 minutes. Felt faster than that though. They put headphones on me with some 80s music 👌😂

It took about thirty minutes for me. Sometimes it can take an hour.

I would shoot for an hour. I used to work in radiology and we always scheduled MRI of brains with and without contrast for an hour and a half. Just depends if you have to start over if you move. Just lay still and you shouldn’t be there long.

About 30 minutes on most mri machines some take less time the more still you are the faster it will be. If you move around they will have to keep starting over and it will take longer
