Should I change my bellybutton ring?

I got my bellybutton pierced June 12th 2017 and have never taken out the jewelry I have in. One of my friends told me that ideally I would want to wait 6 months to change it out but I feel like I’ve had it long  enough I can safely change it. I occasionally still get crusty shit on it and can sometimes squeeze out this white liquid (it’s not puss). Do you think I would be okay or should I wait??

Clean it a lot for 2 weeks and if it stops having the crust An liquid coming out then its not fully healed and if it doesn't have crust and liquid after 2 weeks I'm sure it's okay to change it just clean your belly ring and belly button really good.

Bad idea to take it out if it’s not healed fully. Literally took the bottom one out to finally change it n I knew it wasn’t healed yet and not even two mins and it closed on me while I was putting the ring in. I was so pissedddddd

If liquid still comes out it's still not heal, you should wait 6 months, i think i waited 1 month or 2 at the longest, it wasn't healed so it did hurt a lott but i had to pull through since it was hurting already i don't recall if it bleed
