Should I still bathe her??

At what age should you stop bathing your child? I have my niece 24/7. She is 6 years old. I still feel the need to wash her hair and body during showers or baths cause I don’t think she will do it right. Any opinions on what age to stop?

Start teaching her how, slowly break away from it. She may surprise you out of the blue one day and say she wants to do it on her own. Teach her so she is prepared.

if i was in your shoes  i would ask her if she wants to be big girl and do it herself  but be in the room so you can tell her the right way to clean and of course make sure she not getting into trouble etc (i was crazy kid so i was always  doing things that i wasnt supposed to do)

I would ask her to start showing you how to do it. That way its a teaching mechanism as well as confidence booster

At 6 she should be at least washing herself up on her own. I’d still wash her hair for her though.

I allow my 4 yr bonus daughter to wash herself. I let her have 5-7 mins of “alone” time, I sit by the door to monitor her, then I will come in to wash under arms, back, and privates.

Should I still bathe her??
