What should I do???

So I have 2 Betta fish, 2 albino sucker fish, and 2 snails. I am sure my snails are fine. My fish however I was a complete idiot and jumped into getting them without being educated first. I normally don't do this with my animals, but I got excited and didn't think. They each have a 6.5 gallon tank with a filter. They do have plastic plants, which I didn't know was not good for them. Their filters are low flow which is good, and I will be giving them pellet food instead of flakes now. They do have light as well. Their water gets conditioner and now I know I need to do a water change sometimes. I successfully got my sucker fish and Betta to live together peacefully. Each Betta has a tank and 1 sucker fish in with them and 1 snail. I still feel like maybe I am not doing them right. I feel like I shouldn't have them and that they aren't happy. If I take them back to the let store they will end up back in a small cup and wait to be taken by someone else. The pet store owner literally doesn't know like anything. Right now I really can't afford to do anything new for my fish. I'm pretty broke as far as upgrading or anything goes. What should I do? Just keep them for now or what??
