My dearest little one,
As I write this first letter to you, you sleep bundled up in my arms while your dad sleeps on the fold out chair in our room. You’ve only been with us for a few hours now but it feels like you’ve always been here. I want you to know how special you are and how special you’re birthday is to us.
First off, you are our rainbow baby. 🌈 And while I enjoyed my pregnancy with you, I could shake the uneasy feeling in the back of my mind. Once you were safely in my arms today I was able to breathe a sigh of relief.
You’re birthday is also so special just like you. Today marks 13 years since you great grandpa Jim left us. I can’t help but believe that he was there today watching over us and keeping you safe.
While I don’t know what our futures hold, I do know that I love you and I trust that God has special plans for you, sweet child. I can’t wait to watch you and Emery grow up together and can’t wait to see what is in store for our family.
