I just died a little inside READING your story. I would go all George of the Jungle munching straight coffee beans just to get through!
The worst possible thing has happened 😔😥🤯

It all started with a text from my husband while I was still in bed on a Saturday morning...
So any coffee maker recommendations?? We tend to get one that has the stainless insulated carafe rather then a glass one because the coffee stays hot longer between when he makes it for work and when I get up. We are not into anything that takes pods, just ground coffee.

Having the extra carafe is great! I used to have one and it's like you always have back up lol! I need to get another... 🤔

No I agree.. there are only two coffee drinkers in my house but the single service ones seem grossly inadequate for our needs, haha. We are looking at the Ninja Coffee Bar because it has a thermal carafe but also does individual specialty drinks.. lucky for us there are a lot of deals right now. We might upgrade and hope for the best

Lol! Wish I had advice on a machine. I DID see on tv that they have a new 'dual' that has a regular 12C pot on one side and a single serve on the other? We have 7 kids. 5 of us drink coffee so having a single serve is just hilarious to me but some like it. Good luck!

Well, we went with the Ninja Coffee Bar.. crisis averted! Thanks everyone for the suggestions! My husband is cleaning it right now so we can use it... he is actually doing voluntary dishes just to finally get his coffee 😂☕️

**its NOT big compared to other makers ☺️

Not that big.. 15” tall x 15.5” wide , 9” deep.. my old coffee maker was not as wide but deeper.. it’s like like it is big compared to any other standard coffee maker. And the little arm with the milk frother swings backwards so it is out of the way if you don’t want to look it it 👍☕️

Is it large? does it take up a lot of space?

Get a bunn coffee maker! We love ours-it keeps the water heated in a tank so that it is always perfect coffee making temperature

Thanks for the recommendation! The whole water tank thing always threw me off with some makers, but I know Bunn is a good brand. I have not owned one yet but we have had the larger office size ones at places I have worked.

Bona Vita is a highly recommended coffee maker. It makes super hot coffee that stays hot. I’ve also heard good things about the Ninja, but have no personal experience.

French press. Taste better, easy to clean, can't break unless you drop it.

We had one for a long time and they make great coffee. The one we had just didn’t stay hot for long because it was just glass walls... we are the ‘brew 12 cups and slowly refill over the course of the morning’ type of people. Our French press eventually did break (dropped in the sink) and we bought a pour-over glass/ceramic thing to take out when we want to be fancy 😉 but day to day the regular coffee makers are easier for us. Thanks for the tip though!

French press allllll the way!!! Cheap, easy, fast, and tastes SO much better. And the only way it can break is if you I drop it. 😂So if you get one for you and your husband each, there’s always bound to be one around. Love love love my French press. Can’t go back to a coffee machine now - it tastes like coffee water.

Aeropress! It’s a game changer! We have a keurig and nespresso. I️ loved my nespresso but the pod replacements are really expensive. I️ have a lot of friends with the aeropress and they swear by it. I️ agree!! It’s on my Christmas list!

You will love your aeropress! We have two because my husband insisted on having one at work. Makes a great, hot cup of coffee in seconds; even quicker if you have an electric kettle.

I travel to NYC somewhat frequently for work and I request they always book me at this one particular hotel..the reason: they have nespresso machines in the room rather then the typical keurig type pods most places have. That is the only kind of pod I have found I liked. So good, but expensive like you say, so we have not really considered buying one.. it’s nice to have traveling through 😊

Here in the Uk, coffee makers/machines are a luxury 😂 We usually Boil the kettle and put coffee granules in our cup, make it that way lmaoThe only time for having coffee breakdowns is if we run out of coffee granules 😂 or milk 😂

What you describe sounds very rustic and adorable, but I feel compelled to ask you for your address so I can send you this modern day luxury item we call a coffee maker 😂 In a country with such lovely stores like Marks & Spencer’s I find the lack of coffee machines to be tragic in a ‘first-world problems’ kind of way.
