Have you ever been treated poorly by someone because of your ethnicity/background??

I decided to set up this poll after I was called an immigrant because my mother is from wales by someone who’s whole family is from Denmark. I really do think people need to think before they speak and actually learn what the term immigrant means. I am no immigrant if I am from Great Britain 🇬🇧 and live their. What are your opinions on this

I am white and used to live in an all black neighborhood and went to a hair salon one day because my hair needed TLC badly. They purposely butchered my hair (twice) and charged me out the ass for it. And I know it was intentional because of how they treated me. It was a lesson learned and I started going to a place in a mall about 45 minutes away instead. Sometimes people cant see past the color of your skin and it’s a really sad thing. 🙁 I know that being white doesn’t allow me to catch half the crap I’m sure other ethnicities or skin colors do.

Yep. I’m from Europe and I moved to the UK for educational purposes. I’ve been bullied and discriminated through the whole first year until I managed to move to another city. Funny enough the ones who mistreated me weren’t British themselves. Karma’s a bitch tho so I’m sure their time will come

Not really. In middle school, people for some reason thought I was Asian even though I told people I wasn’t. Some people would say racist things about Asians to me. Kids are stupid

I haven't personally  bit some kid tried to bully my brother saying "If your whole family is white why are you Mexican?" trying to act like my brother was adopted and my brother looked at him and said "Um, I'm hungarian. Mind your business" and walked away 😂 there's like 5 people in my whole family that have light skin so he's never thought it was weird lmao

Ethnicity? No. Background? Yes, quite a lot. Kids are mean and I got picked on plenty of times because I didn't grow up with parents so I was raised by my grandma. My family didn't have much money so obviously I didn't have the most 'trendy' clothes and whatever so I got picked on for being a 'tramp'.
