What is the best birth control ? And is it effective??

stay away from Depo. Can cause infertility if u want kids don't get on the shot u will regret it,  your menstrual will never be the same or ovulating

Every birth control affects EVERYONE differently, I've used depo worked fine with MY body, I've had the nexplanon in my arm worked fine with MY body. I think I'm going to try the IUD with no hormones, see how that works. I normally like keeping things the same, but because I'm breast feeding I don't want to have anything else with hormones in it for my reassurance. I say go with what YOU think will be good for you and your body.

I was on depo for 10 years and am currently pregnant after TTC for 2 months. Please don't believe what people tell you they've "heard" about the shot and infertility. I'm a first hand account and can tell you that planning is a big part of ttc regardless of the type of bc you're on. After depo- my periods were more consistent when they started again (which was about 4 months after my last shot) compared to previously. They also weren't as heavy. I stopped getting shots a year before ttc because I knew I wanted to have a baby around this age. If I had stopped and ttc immediately, maybe I would have been disappointed but honestly, who knows? Depo worked great for me - we didn't use condoms and the only negative side effect was I gained about 15 pounds.
