I’ve been good friends with this guy for around 4 months now and I have recently broke up with my boyfriend which has caused me to feel a bit lonely.

He is an amazing guy with good looks, a great sense of humour and is a gentleman who I just want to kiss 😍

But.. there’s a catch, he likes another girl 😔 I respect that, and I be light in conversation with him about it because I respect him and her. I have asked him just once “you keep saying you want to get with her so why don’t you do it?” Which was said in a nice way, yet he says “I will soon” which confuses me and it’s making me think he’s putting it off maybe because he might like me? It’s complicated because we spend a lot of time together and he looks at me a lot, looks into my eyes when we speak and has very light body contact with me. For example: I had a few friends over last night and we were all sat in the living room messing about piling on top of each other (yeah we’re all really close friends so we don’t care 😅) and he’d touch my hand at times for no reason, rest his legs across me and want to wear my coat most of the time when we went out. He has also said a lot that my best friend likes me for a joke, try’s to impress me and follows me around school a lot (not in a creepy way) and I make him laugh a lot and he does to me too. So... the whole situation is just boggling my mind.

Is there anything I can do to maybe hint at anything or if this might mean something?
