For a while now my almost eight month old has just stared off at nothing with a totally blank look on her face, completely uninterested in what’s going on around her for a little bit and then snap out of it and be fine again. Is this normal behaviour for a baby? It’s not due to tiredness because she’ll do it even when she’s only just had a nap not long ago. We have a friend’s daughter who is autistic so I guess that might be a fear of ours that is closer to the front of our minds, but she’s six now and we honestly don’t remember how she was as a baby and don’t want to come off insensitive or ignorant if we ask her parents. Hence why I’m asking here and hoping my girl isn’t the only bub who appears like nobody’s home at times...
