I have a paraguard non-hormonal iud. It was a game changer for my sex life.

Paraguard. It's super simple to get. It's been working great and to me it's the best thing ever. the process of getting it is not hard at all, just make sure you take ibuprofens.

I tried the mirena and it was horrible for me. The hormones messed with me too much and it fell out after 9 months (not supposed to happen at all after 3 months) 
I think they mightve put it in wrong because it was nothing but a pain

I had Skyla. Now I’m pregnant. Just went to get it removed on Monday and have to get blood tests today and Friday to see if my levels are dropping aka having a MC from removal. Never thought this would happen in a million years 😒

I had the Mirana for 1 year and 1 month. It was the worst for me, one of my biggest regrets. I spotted the full year, got cystic acne for the first time, and my hair thinned a bit. All that also had an impact on my mental health due to genuinely feeling awful all the time. I know it works for some... But I will never do hormones again.

I got the Kyleena 6 weeks ago. I'm in germany though, I don't know if it exists in the US. It's great! I mean it did hurt to get inserted, which is normal because I didn't choose to get an anesthetic. About a week or two later I bled for a week, just old spotting blood, and then had my period for another week. It wasn't fun and I hated those two weeks. I also had harder cramps, but that's normal for the beginning.                                      It's so much fun having spontaneous sex without a condom though! 😍          But! It's not for everyone. And if you decide to get it, you have to be aware of the risks, and the fact that if you pay for it and it ends up not working out, the money is gone and you won't get it back. I have the Mirena. I've hade it for less than a month but I like it so far I'm currently having/ending my first period with it in. Cramping was the same and bleeding has been lighter.
