Is OPK always positive day before you ovulate?

I had a negative OPK yesterday and now I have weird lower back/hip pain and ewcm today. Im worried I'll miss my O today, because I'm at work.. but if I was going to ovulate today I would have had a positive opk yesterday right? I took it around 3pm I think

EWCM is not always a marker for ovulation, for example I️ get mine days before ovulation but not on the actually day of O. And I️ find ovulation pains to be more like pinching period cramps. If you think you’re close to ovulation start testing twice a days. even if you think you are supposed to ovulate today you still have time as the egg is available to be fertilized for 24-48 hours. So when in doubt baby dance!
