Am I producing enough?

Question

My son is 3.5 months. He eats 3 oz every 2-3 hours. I was away from him today and when I pumped only produced 5 oz in 4 hours. Is my body producing enough or should I start power pumping?

It depends on you and your baby my 15mo only eats 2 1/2 oz at a time and he is chunky. as he doesn't ate very much I don't produce a lot. You kinda have to use your own judgement.

Usually when away from baby you produce less

you are always going to pump less then your baby can transfer from you. if your baby seems satisfied after a feed and has enough dirty and wet diapers then you're fine. 
if you're unsure you can find a lactation consultant who does a weighted feeding. I do one every week and it's given me so much confidence with breastfeeding.
