Can anyone tell me about fostering kids ?

I️ would love to foster a baby and would like to know more information and do I️ have to pay to foster a baby ? And how I️t works and any information I️ might need

I applaud you for considering such a cause. These children really do need people in their corner, and not just that; they need a stable lifestyle. As tempting as it is to take in babies though, I urge you to consider getting qualifications for teenagers. The older children often have the hardest time being placed with good families and are shifting from place to place multiple times a year. Please at the very least consider it.

I’m not a foster parent, but my husband was a foster child. His foster parents were paid a small stipend by the government (once they were approved of course- that apparently takes some time and there’s things like home visits and paperwork). The money you get is supposed to help cover the costs of the child (food, clothes, etc). You don’t pay anything to foster. But from my understanding the stipend you get isn’t a lot of money and you do have to spend your own money on the children you foster to meet all their needs (how much you’d spend would depend on what you want to provide). 
It’s a really amazing thing people can do for a child. Often those kids are hurting and have suffered a lot. They’re not a small undertaking and need a lot of love and support (like any child of course- though they’ll have different needs sometimes). If you can give them that then you can do so much for them. I personally am so grateful for what my husbands foster parents (who we’re still pretty close to actually) were able to do for him. They saved him really.
