Emergency cerclage

Just looking for some success stories. Went to the doctor for my 20 week ultrasound and found out that there was nearly nothing left of my cervix, was 3 cm dilated and leaking membranes. Terrified since I wasn’t exhibiting any signs or symptoms, i was rushed to the hospital and had an emergency cerclage. I was discharged the following day with a cervix of 2.5. At this point i am 21 weeks pregnant and realize my little girl is not viable and scared.. just wondering what led to others success??
