Did you tell your family about doing IVF? What are your thoughts pros/cons on sharing versus not sharing?

I’m debating whether to share that we are doing this and wondered what things others considered when making this decision.

One of my best friends is currently going through ivf, & it's a ton of work & stress & discomfort/pain. If I were to do ivf, I'd definitely want the support of my family through that long process.

Yes I told my family. I didn't always tell them the exact date of transfers and things like that, because I didn't want the "did it work?" questions to start, but they knew the general process of what we were doing. I've done 5 rounds. First was successful (my son is 3) and next 4 ended in early miscarriage. I wanted to be able to have a few days to process before telling people it wasn't successful. But it was nice to have the support and most people knew not to ask questions.
