When to have the first scan
I’ve been referred for a dating scan from 6-7 weeks the doctor said. (In Australia pretty much everyone has an early scan. It’s free).
The doctor said to have it any time from 6 weeks but I really want to know if I’ll hear the heartbeat. I don’t want to go to early because I don’t want to worry for 5 weeks until the next scan if I don’t hear a heartbeat. How many people couldn’t hear a heartbeat at 6w2d? This is when I’m thinking of booking.
