Spotting on Birth Control?

Hi!! I've been on the pill for about 2 months. My period starts in 3 days and today I noticed spotting. I just got over a yeast infection where I had been experiencing some bleeding due to some inflammation, I'm not sure if the spotting is something to be concerned about or if it's common to spot on birth control??? Please help!
