I’m really scared and paranoid. I just vaped 40 mg of nicotine per puff (idek what that means) and I’m scared I’m going to get addicted now. Or is it not a big deal and I should just not do such a high amount next time?

That's a crazy high amount of nicotine, let alone for someone who doesn't smoke. But no, you're not going to get addicted from one puff, your body will not develop a dependence. It's suggested that former smokers vape and non-smokers never start to vape because they still don't know the long term effects.
