Implant question

So I finally got my period 🙏🏽 August was my last period and i went to the doctor to find out if was pregnant and planning on getting on birth control. I’m planning on getting the Implant but she told me I NEED to be on my period in order to get the implant . I made an appointment today and they only have the 28th appointment but by then my period is over . And idk if I’ll be getting my next month period since I’m irregular. My boyfriend and I have great sex 😍 we hardly use condoms. Pull game is strong buuuut I know it’s not 100% safe and as well as any type of BC but anyways my doctor just called me and said it’s fine that I get my implant without my period but she said it might cause more irregular periods i guess but I was wonder if any of you ladies got the implant without your period ?(hopefully that make sense ) and what symptoms did you get ?? I know it’s different for everyone.
