How much bleeding after cervical exam?

Hello everyone!

My doctor checked my cervix today and told me spotting for the next day or so would be normal and not to panic. How much blood loss is normal?

I’ve had bright red blood that started about 4.5 hours after the exam. It’s not enough to need a pad or anything but enough to get on my underwear a little and it’s been on the toilet paper every time I’ve wiped.

Is this concerning? I know she said it would be normal but it’s still freaking me out!
