Update: Both the ER doctor and OB doctor are not overly concerned about the situation. I have been advised to rest as much as possible and not do anything to extraneous. If I continue to bleed or to get abdominal pains then to go back. Bleeding has stopped and I continue to feel my normal pregnancy symptoms.

I woke up about 3 am to go to the bathroom and when I wiped there was bright red blood. Not a lot, but enough to get me worried. After waking the hubby, we rushed to the ER to get checked out. Most everyone at the ER didn’t seemed worry about this.

I haven’t went to the OB yet, so they went ahead and did an ultrasound with other test.

Doctor said that it is a threatened miscarriage (actual term is threatened abortion ). He said that it is 50/50 whether it will be a viable pregnancy. He advised me to call my OB to inform them what is going on and to set up an immediate appointment.

Waiting for the blood and urine test results, but doc said I was 5 weeks along (7 weeks LMP). Which is where I thought I was.

Has anyone every had this diagnosis and had a healthy pregnancy?
