I passed out the other day at my extern site (basically the same thing as an intern) as a Medical Assistant. It didn't have anything to do with being there, we weren't even doing anything crazy, just taking vitals. then I got light headed and my hearing went away then tunnel vision and then I lost my balance. They sent me home and told me to come back with a note saying I can go back so i did, but the site said I needed a reason why it happened. I explained that the doctor didn't find anything (at this point labs hadn't come back) and that it was probably low electrolytes and dehydration, but she said that I had to wait. so later I got a call saying my UA came back with a UTI. My blood results haven't come back, but I was just curious if the UTI could've caused it?
