Love the dress, love the boots, but don’t think they go together. Those boots aren’t really dress boots.

You must live in the South. I took one look at that and thought "dang I'd be freezing!" But then again, I live in the northeast so coats and scarves it is for us. 
If you like the dress then wear it. If you are second guessing the dress, then find something else. I personally don't see anything wrong with it.
