How do you feel about online dating?

I’m 19 and I have a daughter.  I’m done with all of the kind of guys I’ve been with. At this point I feel like I’ll never find anyone because I’m ready for something serious and I’m done “raising my boyfriends” (they were so childish) I’m ready for the second part in my life, not fooling around.

I met my now husband at 19 online. Best decision ever. It’s easier to get your point across as well that you want something serious.

I met my now fiance online and my two best friends met their husband/fiance online as well. Weed out the creeps cause there are plenty! A lot of apps offer a filter to where you contact whomever you want first, kinda like your profile is hidden until you reach out to them. Online was the way of the future 20+ years ago and now is totally normal and acceptable. Good luck, have fun and remember to always meet in a public place.

I tried once but got nothing out of it. However one of my best friends married someone she met online and he’s a wonderful person and they are an amazing couple. 
I think that the reason is they met on a site that you have to pay for. Where I used tinder which is free. I think odds are people willing to pay for online dating are more serious about having a relationship than people who are on free sites and apps

I don't think it's a bad idea! Especially if you are ready for something serious and to settle down, you'll definitely find guys like that online. Don't be afraid though to go through a few before you find somebody you really like and definitely spend time with them in person a few times before getting serious. I used online dating for a little while in the beginning of this year and only went out with one guy realized he wasn't worth my time. I met my current boyfriend a month after at school though and don't think I'd go back but I had a good experience with it! Maybe you can also surround yourself with a more serious crowd and don't give guys a chance who don't seem serious ahead of the game. Good luck! :)

I met my fiancee through an internet (now bffl) friend.
I wouldn't recommend it as you never truly know who you are talking to until you meet them, but have at it.
