Any Other Hairdressers On Here?!

I feel like noone else understands how hard being a hairdresser really is. 
• People think we just open up a bottle, and throw it on their head. No, we have to create a custom made formula for each and every person & hairtype. Blonde is not just in a tube we have to LIGHTEN first then tone it & it all depends what your hair will do!
• Sorry you boxdyed your hair black & now you would like to be platinum blonde in one service for under $200 without "brassyness". Try minimum of 3 services & a maximum of $650.
• Some people can bring very bad energy ,and try to rub it off on you when you know you cant let it bother you cause you have other clients to keep entertained afterwards. Sometimes i feel like a therapist.
•We stand all day, we barely get to eat, All we ever want is for the guest to be happy & if they arent LET US KNOW , we will try to make it perfect.
Just ranting , wanted some other hairdressers to come together see if anyone has any ways of dealing with different types of guests ,or situations. Love my job dont het me wrong , but its hard❤️

every hair salon ive ever been to has never left my hair the way i asked for. first time, i asked for red highlights and i ended up walking out with hot pink highlights 😐,  i was young so my mom payed 260 for the highlights and blow dry. went back the next day.. they fixed it but didnt blow dry my hair again. I have been wanting to get a Lob haircut for 2 years now and ive been to 4 hair salons and they alll fucked my hair up. from leaving one side longer than the other, giving me layers when i clearly asked for one length no layers. i Asked for Lob again once my hair grew out and walked out with a bob 😐. I wanted to remove brown from my hair and go a shade lighter to start the process of going ash blonde, i walked out with half of my hair black and my virgin hair was brown. ive had terrible hair salon visits. Ive wasted so much time and money at hair salons. I dont mean to be rude but not only the hair dressers get it bad.

I’m not a stylist but I have a sister and friends who are and I knooooww it’s tough! 
My stylist had to deal with me coming in with layers of different colors in my hair, about 2 years worth— purple, red, and the last 6 months were black to cover it all up. My hair was chopped uneven... I was a hot mess 😂😂 I told him before hand I’m sorry, I know I’m a walking nightmare for you. I wanted an even cut that frames my face, and to try to go back to my natural color (from boxed raven black to a strawberry blonde). I knew it’d be a long process and didn’t expect it to be done in 1 day. We took a few breaks to let my hair rest, but 1 year later we got it exactly how I love it! 
When you find the right hair stylist, it’s amazing 💕 I ONLY go to this man now lol
People should be more appreciative of their stylists!

I appreciate hairdressers so much, especially the girl I go to! Been box dying my hair black for a few years and she managed to get my hair to this in less than the amount of sessions she expected to. I'm always throwing problems at her and she's so quick to help, as much as I probably piss her off with my mistakes 😂 You all have a ton of patience and a lot of dedication to stay in that line of work 👌

Although I never finished my hours to graduate I did attend cos school and this post is 💯👏🏻👏🏻! My personal one that kills me is the "three layer cut". Like no sweetie we cannot give you three lays and you expect to come out looking like Jessica Alba🙄

I haven't gone into a salon but my school let us work on real paying people(obviously reduced prices) for half of my time there. My school experience turned me off from wanting to go into a real salon to the point where I'm pursuing esthetics instead. I had some amazing clients but others were miserable no matter what. I gave someone EXACTLY what they wanted and they told me it was wrong and they weren't happy with it. I had a few box dye stories come in, I had a girl who's hair we had to cut completely off because it was so mangled (we tried for over two hours to save it), etc

My best friend was/is a hair stylist right after we graduated high school and she worked at a few salons and I let her do my hair if she wanted to. She would tell me what would happened at her work. She had someone who would bye hair dye at Walmart and she wanted to go blonde and I guess the girl had a an attitude about it. I give all hairstylists props for dealing with rude customers cause I would snap😂
