When to go to hospital??

Question

Been having contractions for a couple hours totally definitely real and really painful I have to hold my breath but there still about 8 to 10 mins apart what should I do?? I've been 3cm dilated for about 3 weeks now. I'm don't want to go to the hospital and then get hooked up or get pictocin I want to be free of interventions as much as possible due to my last labor experience any advice?
I'm 39 weeks by the way ready for this baby!!

Call the nurse on call and ask. My doctor told me to wait until they are 1 min long, 7 mins apart, for 1 hr consistently before I come in order to labor at home as much as possible (we have a 35 min drive too) - doesn’t hurt to call and double check with them!

I’d go, I progressed really fast so I glad that I went when I did my contractions were 2-5 min apart
