Which Diet did you try out to aid you into getting pregnant...?!?

Soooo I am just curious!
I have seen allot of People (these days anyway) - go on a diet to looses weight & then all of a Sudden they have to quit their diet because they are pregnant...
Did you start a diet to get pregnant?!?
- AND MORE IMPORTANTLY : DID IT WORK?!?

I went vegetarian due to personal reasons. I stopped eating all meat (except shrimp occasionally) and focused on a plant based diet. I cut out most cheese and all cows milk (I only drink Almond milk now). I also started working out more and taking B6. I got pregnant a month after making these lifestyle changes (we tried for 6 months prior) hope this helps!

Almost the same situation as the comment above...went mostly vegan /all plant based diet and started just going for jogs 4 times a week and about a month and a half later was pregnant...

I went gluten free for about 5 months. Because I have pcos and the two are related, I was also on metformin which aided in my pregnancy. But I 100% believe it was the diet and medication that worked together and that's how I got pregnant. No im no longer eating 100% gluten free but I will continue after I deliver. The reason I'm not now is because of a balanced diet for the baby and I don't want to cause any intolerance to gluten for him.

personally, I recommend starting a preconception/pregnancy diet 6months before conception. It takes at least that long to properly store the nutrition in your body for the best possible outcome. I've been on it for about 6 months now but probably won't ttc for another 3 at least :) I follow the nourishing children/ nourishing traditions diet. hope this helps!

I never made any changes to my diet and got pregnant in under a year with all three of my kids (though the first wasn’t planned). But my husband and I already are very health conscious. We already ensure all our meals are portioned properly and that we have a good balance of different food groups. We both get lots of exercise as well. I was at a very healthy weight when we started trying. Though I do struggle with anemia, but I’m fairly controlled now and have been for years. I just have to ensure I take iron supplements daily and try to eat a bit more eat red meat, dark green vegetables and other iron rich food during my period (and while pregnant I saw a nutritionist to ensure I was getting enough iron in my diet) With my youngest I was pregnant in 2 months after stopping birth control, my second child it took 4 months while I was currently incredibly stressed and we weren’t actively trying. My eldest I got pregnant in my middle of my residency I’d forgotten to start up my birth control after my break week. We had sex once, I realized what happened 3 days later and started my birth control again. At the end of the month I skipped a period so we tested and I was pregnant.
