PLEASE NOTE: It is very possible that I am being hyper sensitive to these comments since I’ve had a hard time adjusting to our new neighborhood and haven’t met any of my new neighbors.

We sold our first house which we considered a live-in flip. It was small and cozy and only had 1 bathroom. Nonetheless, it was the perfect starter house in a great town. The biggest issue was that it was far from Boston. When we decided to move, it didn’t come easy. Towns you can afford to buy in as you get closer to Boston are limited. And good schools are a must for us! After a year of searching we found our house. We announced that we bought a new house on social media. Just a simple image of our house with a brief comment to my followers which are friends, colleagues and family. I found it absolutely amusing the types of comments I received on our new house.

- I feel like a lot of people have newer houses but the inside isn’t of quality.

- your house has had quite a few owners, huh?

I hate to sound obnoxious but it becomes very clear when you’re doing something right. These comments come from people that are supposed to be “happy” for you.
