ladies what do you think?

my period was due 16th,I had spotting on 13th,22,24 I mean very light spotting that only last a hour I took a hpt on the 16 and was BFN..am usually 28-32,today is cycle day 40 I have never been this late..Glow keeps pushing back my ovalation and period due date..does late ovalation cause a late BFP
