There's no reason to. Your baby needs that colostrum in the first few days of life before your milk comes in. Trying to pump/express milk can actually cause contractions and preterm labor.

What do I do if it's coming out on it's own?? I'm not pumping or trying to express the colostrum but it seems to just drip out if I touch or massage the breast in a certain way. I've had extremely sore breast my entire pregnancy and when colostrum started coming out three weeks ago while I was trying to massage the pain away I began to worry. I don't want to set off preterm labor but I don't know how to stop it.
