How were your previous labour(s)?

Question

Did you deliver early? How long was your labour? Did you have an epidural... or did you need a c-section? Did any complications occur? I’m asking because we are plus size and there are always misconceptions when it comes to labour and delivery just because of our BMI’s!!!!!!!

I have been morbidly obese during all three pregnancies. I’m still expecting #3, but with my first I went into labor naturally at 37 weeks and 5 days due to my water breaking. At 8cm my progress stalled so they gave me pitocin and she was born an hour later. No pain meds, no tearing, no hemorrhoids, or any other complications or interventions. My second I went into labor at 41 weeks and 2 days. They broke my water at 5cm... about half an hour after I got to the hospital and he was born about an hour later. Again no pain meds or complications/interventions.
My ob for this one keeps trying to shame me about my risk of complications and will go “I see your last two labors were.... oh... vaginal.” Yeah buddy.

My first I was due dec 19th and induced a few days later since I had some signs of preeclampsia. There wasnt any complications. When I finally asked for an epidural I was already at 10 so no meds. She was born Dec 22nd 6lbs 7 oz. My 2nd delivery my son was due July 19th. I went in on the 22nd for my weekly appointment and they checked me said I was at a 4 so get ready. lol We went to the hospital about 10pm he was born at 11:11pm July 22nd 7lb 13 oz. I  did have some meds demeral (sp) the worst I felt so out of it my eyes kept trying to close. Like I was drunk n tired. This time I am due April 29th.  Everyone thinks she will be here on the 22nd. lol

I delivered a day shy of 42 weeks. couldn't have an epidural because I was too anemic so had a spinal block instead, but it was spotty so I got to feel the whole thing. had complications from her size (mostly the size of her head) so ended up doing a c-section. but she was super healthy. 21 inches tall at 9 lb 6 oz
