Has any one gotten their period on the depo shot ?

How long does it last ? I have been on it now for about a month. I have been bleeding now for almost a week . Just about 12 weeks postpartum,.

I'm 2 months pp. I had the depo shot two weeks ago and started having heavy breakthrough bleeding/spotting this week (though it comes and goes). My doctor said I can expect it to taper off about 6 weeks from when I had the shot.

it's like a regular period it gets more irregular after being on it for a year or so
