How does everyone feel about the antibiotic eye ointment that they want to give our babies? I'm ok with the vitamin k and hep b vaccine. But I feel like there eye ointment is totally unnecessary. Stats suggest that it isn't always effective for preventing gonorrhea and chlamydia infections which are super rare. And I know that I don't have either of those and neither does my husband. So it's a 0% of it helping anything. Is there anything that I'm missing here that the ointment is good for that I don't realize?
