How long should your significant other take off of work after the baby is born?

Was wondering how long everyone thinks is a good amount of time for their significant other to take off after having the baby?

I think whatever you can afford to take off is what you should. This is a pretty circumstantial thing really. For example, my fiancé only has 5 paid vacation days a year and unfortunately had to use two of them so he'll only be able to take 3 days off when baby comes because we can't afford for him to take any unpaid days off 😔

There's 6 weeks unpaid parental bonding leave, son my husband is using his time off. He's saved up almost a month of time off.

Well I think my mayor is putting a law so that the parents have 6 weeks maternity leave. I agree with him.

My husband doesn’t get paternity leave so he took off 2 days plus the weekend for our 1st and Our second I had him at 5:15am and my husband went into work right after. He was working at the same hospital I delivered in so on his lunch break he came and ate with me. He’ll prob do the same thing with our third as long as it’s on a work day.

My husbands job gives them 3 weeks paid I was shocked but grateful and have 5 weeks paid vacation for the year so I'm hoping 1 month with his help I plan on breast feeding and I know I'm gonna be so tired I wished there was more time but I'll take what I can take

Hubby works from home time to time but his bosses know once the baby is here he’s not gonna be in the office for a week and and only 2 times a week after.

Thank the sweet lord the military allows 21 days paternity leave 🙇🏽‍♀️ so he’ll be taking that plus some regular leave days if needed
