my long time boyfriend bought an engagement ring today for me but I won't know when I'm going to get it or what it looks like. I am over joyed  ! however, we both live seperatly with our parents. should we live together before getting hitched.??

Peoples’ true colors come out soon after you live together - good and bad! It may be nice to get a feel for how you two manage life (especially finances) before you get married. But it’s up to you and him based on how you guys feel about each other and your relationship. (Congrats btw, for whenever he does pop the question - so exciting!)

I would say yes, you should because most of the fights you will have are getting to know how to live with that other person if you don’t. That is why most say it is so hard the first couple years because you are learning how to live with the other person. We moved in within a year of dating each other. EVERY ONE of his family members said it was too soon, but he was the one that moved in with me, lol. And we are married and couldn’t be happier! Word of advice, we split up the household chores monthly. My husband grew up never having to lift a finger, while I on the other hand, did chores, cooked, did yard work, and took care of animals. Felt like I was bossing him around and it never fully made me feel like he was helping out with anything because he wasn’t used to doing anything. So we split up all house chores and yard work, and sure enough, it has kept us from bickering for a long time on that subject 😁👌🏻 good luck and I hope this helps☺️
