Wedding gift amount?

If you aren't going to the wedding, how much money do you give as a wedding gift? My friends getting married and I've never met her fiancé.

Our budget is pretty tight so I generally find something on the registry around $30/40 so the total is close to $50 with shipping. If you can afford more, go for it. And if you can't afford that much, that's fine too. When I was a bride, I genuinely appreciated every gift, no matter how small.
