First miscarriage - IVF?

I’m 35 and this was our first pregnancy. At my 8wks ultrasound we discovered the baby had no heartbeat. I had to induce the miscarriage over Thanksgiving week. It’s been tough and I know with time I’ll find peace.

As loving and supportive my husband has been, I don’t think I’ll have the strength to go through this again. Should we just go through <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> for us to conceive a healthy baby? What are our chances of having another miscarriage the next time around?

I'm so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, miscarriage is really common. Most women that have one - do go on to have a healthy pregnancy. A small percentage- 1-2% will have 2 or more miscarriages in a row. I believe the chance of having another one is around 15%.  I- was one of the unlucky ones that had 2 in a row and it was devastating. But the good news is that I did end up conceiving my daughter shortly after my second miscarriage and gave birth to her in August at 39 years old. So there is hope. I'm not sure if you should pursue ivf- as that is a personal decision. Maybe talk with your ob about what your next step should be.

I feel your pain, my doctor gave me pills on Tuesday to start a miscarriage, they could never find the baby a heart beat all that was there was a sac, Tuesday night I started the pills and Wednesday at 5am I lost so much blood and tissue, I took a shower to clean up and delivered our baby in the shower I don’t know how to process because I was told there wasn’t supposed to be a baby there
