Newborn mouth breather?

The internet says this isn’t normal. Does anyone else have a baby who sleeps with his/her mouth open? Zoey is only two weeks (holy crap. Two weeks already. Ten more till I go back to work 😫)

My baby has slept with her mouth open from day 1 lol. But she’s still breathing through her nose

It could mean she’s a little stuffed up which is normal for newborns as they have stuff from the womb in their nasal passages... a few things you can try. If you’re breastfeeding you can squirt a little breastmilk into their nose which will help it drain. You can also run the shower on hot water and hold them upright in the bathroom with the door closed and let the steam fill the air and clear their nasal passages.
