Starting ivf - any advice??

I got my period yesterday and doc told me

To go in day 3 to check everything and start stimulating I guess. We ve been ttc for our number two for a year and I have low ovarian reserve so <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">ivf</a> seems to be the way for us. We ve done all the tests we both need so we re good to go.

We ve also done two failed iuis so I’m ready for it but I’m nervous! Any advice??

Since you’ve done the IUIs you probably understand the process much better than someone just jumping to IVF. Did you use injectables? If so, the beginning of the cycle will be almost exactly the same, but probably with higher doses of the meds. I also have diminished ovarian reserve (but mines really bad!) so don’t be shocked if it takes a bit to work out the best protocol. Especially if you are doing birth control to down regulate first, it sometimes takes a bit to bounce back from all that suppression. My only advice is just take it  one step at a time. Try not to get ahead of yourself worrying about the next steps. Best of luck to you!!!

I am going to my first egg retrieval tomorrow after my first cycle was canceled because I ovulated. I also have low ovarian reserve and the nurse prepped me by saying my body will be working really hard to produce the follies so listen to your body when you feel crampy/rundown. I have a hard time of slowing down/resting but the first couple of days of stims kicked my butt! My advice is don’t be afraid to rest, take daily EASY walks- even if it’s on a treadmill, and do whatever activities help you unwind. You’re putting your body through a lot, don’t be afraid to treat yo self!
Also, ask as many questions as you have- ask to meet with the doctor at least halfway through your cycle - if it’s not already protocol for your doctors office. 
Also, find some one going through this that you can ask questions to, join a support group if you want. I had some one I knew who was a week ahead of me in her IVF cycle  and it was so comforting for us both because we knew what to expect and we felt like we weren’t alone. My husband is amazing but it’s hard to explain just what’s going on with your body and how uncomfortable it can be...we women get it! Best of luck!!

just relax and follow aLL instructions accordingly,  as long as0 you have done all required tests... and you have been confirmed good to go . i started my ivf journey in October and were 6wks .. just try and distract yourself from worrying too much . i watched movies Nd read books and took walks to help blood flow in the uterus . i hope this helps best wishes
