So my daughter is a week old and will not settle on her back to sleep in her crib.

At night I will feed her until she’s full and make sure she has a clean nappy. I can put her down and it’s guaranteed at first she’ll be calm and within two minutes she starts screaming and will not stop. The first few nights we persisted and she only slept about an hour as she was so distressed.

We’ve tried swaddling but she doesn’t like it and gets frustrated.

She was really fussing and hard to settle last night so we tried putting her on her front and she settled straight away and slept a solid 3 hours before her next feed!

I know guidelines are to sleep on her back but she just won’t. I feel like the best thing for her is whatever makes her most comfortable.

Thoughts?
